Ok. Sooo...the temple carvings weren't made by PEOPLE.

Then they were made by machines? ROBOTS?

Ok - let me explain.

Long ago, in A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY...

Seriously -
remember this rock that hit me during the HOLOBLOG explosion? I brought it back to the temple to compare the inscription to the SYMBOLS covering the temple walls.

The writing on the rock looked similar to an ancient Earth language, but the SYMBOLS on the WALL it came from looked completely unfamiliar to me.

UNTIL I looked at the walls upside down.

(LOVE these new JET BOOTS by the way!)

Here's the thing. The SYMBOLS on the temple walls ARE from ancient Earth.

But the inscriptions are all upside-down!

It doesn't ENTIRELY make sense to me yet, but I feel we're getting VERY CLOSE.

I'll blog back in a nanosecond. Boots are overheating - don't think they were designed to fly upside-down.

Ouch.

Yes.

I SEEM to be alive. Hit my head on a ROCK, I think. Yes, here it is. It must have broken loose from THE TEMPLE during the HOLOBLOG... um...UPGRADE. Oh, why bother PRETENDING? The cursed thing EXPLODED! Honestly, I had no idea that blogging would be so...FLAMMABLE!

Odd thing about this rock.

I just noticed. The figures carved onto it look almost of ANCIENT EARTH ORIGIN. How odd. Can't imagine how I failed to notice that before.

I'm going to dash back to the Temple and have another look. If only the blast hadn't kicked up so much dust and smoke. I can barely see my own ROCKET BOOTS.

Luckily, the FUNGILANS gave me a pair of their infra-violet ultravision goggles. That should help. I'd hate to get lost down here...again.

Dear POLY,
Well, I only just figured out what my new LAMPYRE friends have been trying to tell me. It seems our large, toothy newcomer is a Fungila Monster.

I'm not familiar with the species, are you?

In any event, the Fungilan seems very interested in doing some EXTENSIVE upgrades to my HOLOBLOG. Very neighborly, these Fungilans.

But for some reason, my LAMPYRE FRIENDS seem quite nervous about this gracious offer.

Of course, I don't want to OFFEND either the Lampyres OR the Fungilan, so perhaps I'll just let the Fungila Monster do a few MINOR repairs before we -

Oh dear.

I had NO idea these holoblogs caught on FIRE so easily! I'm really not sure it's supposed to -

Poly - you might want to stand back a few steps. The Fungilan says the flames are a perfectly NORMAL part of the repair procedure, but I'm starting to have my doubts.

And I couldn't help but notice that the Lampyres have all run for for cover. Thanks goodness these ANCIENT RUINS are made of solid rock.
